It is with great sadness that we share with you that Dave Peterson passed away on Thursday morning, November 13, surrounded by his loving family.
Dave’s passion in life was his family, traveling, and Haynie. His dedication to our firm and the people within it helped shape who we are today. Dave believed deeply in building a culture rooted in trust, growth, accountability, and service—values that continue to guide us forward.
Those who worked with Dave knew his steady leadership, thoughtful guidance, and unwavering commitment to doing what was right for both clients and colleagues. He cared about people first, and he led with humility and heart.
We know Dave was proud of how Haynie has grown, and we will continue to run the firm in his legacy. As we move ahead, we honor the imprint he left on our organization and in the lives of so many.
Our thoughts are with Dave’s family during this difficult time. We are grateful for his life, his leadership, and the profound impact he had on all of us.
Dave will be deeply missed, but his legacy will always remain part of Haynie.
