David is a Partner at Haynie & Company, joining in 2017. He attended Brigham Young University and University of Utah (BA cum laude, 1976). David has over 42 years of diversified public accounting experience, including working with public, private, governmental, non-profit, and educational institutions, as well as individuals.
He has served on various boards of professional, service, and community organizations, including terms as president of the Family Counseling Center (Utah), Mountain States Pension Conference, and the South Valley Kiwanis Club.
He has extensive experience in income taxation, small business consulting, audits of private and public companies, estate planning, audits of employee benefit plans, and accounting software consultation. David has taught various seminars and workshops regarding income taxes, appeared on informational radio programs regarding taxation, and volunteered at free income tax preparation venues.
Prior to joining Haynie, David was President and CEO of Robison, Hill & Co., CPAS, having joined that firm in 1976. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants, and International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.
David married Julianne Evans Seal in 1974, and they have five children (four sons and a daughter), all of whom are married, plus 18 grandchildren. David & Julie highly value family time, as well as travel, the arts (particularly music, theater, opera, and ballet), and they are very involved in their church.
