Steve Butler, CPA, is Partner for Haynie & Company. He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 1972. After joining a large international CPA Firm in 1979, he obtained his CPA certificate in 1981. He has been practicing as a CPA in public practice for more than 30 years. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA).
Steve has been practicing as a tax accountant for most of his career. He has worked extensively in business as well as individual tax issues. He specializes in small business tax and consulting. He has experience in service industries as well as real estate, oil and gas, international and corporate mergers and acquisitions. He also works with individuals in tax planning and general financial planning.
Steve and his wife, Susan, recently celebrated 40 years of marriage. They have two daughters and three grandchildren, so far. Steve has been active in many charities in the San Antonio area for over 30 years and received numerous awards for his volunteer work. His is an avid reader of fiction and history and he and Susan have traveled extensively over the years. Steve is a dedicated golfer hoping to shoot his age someday.
