23 Jul 2025 Haynie Gives: Volunteering with Inspiration Ranch
Our Haynie & Company’s Woodlands office came together to volunteer at Inspiration Ranch, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with physical, mental, and emotional challenges through equine-assisted services. This was our first time supporting the organization, and we were excited to participate in an impactful volunteer experience that offered something new and unique for the team.
Why We Chose to Support
We were looking for a volunteer opportunity that could accommodate the entire team and provide a fresh experience compared to our previous community service initiatives. Inspiration Ranch stood out as a unique organization aligned with our desire to give back meaningfully.
While we don’t have a personal connection to the cause, we were drawn to the opportunity because one of our clients serves on the board. We also had a connection through Cole Moxley, the Property & Compliance Manager at Inspiration Ranch, whom I worked with during Leadership Montgomery County. This was simply a coincidence—our admin team sourced the volunteer opportunity, making it a perfect match for our team.
What We Did at Inspiration Ranch
During our visit, we had the opportunity to contribute to the property’s upkeep by weeding the common areas. It was an excellent way for our team to work together while supporting an organization transforming lives through its equine-assisted programs. Inspiration Ranch’s mission is to provide hope and improve the well-being of those with physical, mental, and emotional challenges. As Terri Arora, a partner in the Woodlands office, shared, “Our Haynie Team enjoyed making an impact during their recent company workday with Inspiration Ranch. We worked together to help highlight the property’s beauty for all those who visit.”
Meeting Finn: The Miniature Horse
One of the day’s highlights was meeting Finn, a miniature horse trained to visit hospitals and schools to provide on-site therapeutic interactions. Finn is slightly taller than a giant dog and has an incredible talent—he’s potty-trained! Finn will notify his handler when he needs to go, making bringing him to public places easier. This interaction with Finn was a perfect example of the innovative and heartwarming ways Inspiration Ranch makes a difference in the community.
How This Event Aligns with Haynie’s Core Values
This event allowed our team to live out Haynie’s core values of Trust, Growth, Team, Accountability, and Service. By volunteering with Inspiration Ranch, we provided meaningful service to our community, helping them continue their mission of healing and hope.
