Sandra Garcia, CPA, CGMA is a Partner of Haynie & Company in Brownsville, Texas. She has over 29 years of experience in public and private accounting, including tax, accounting and consulting services for individuals, non-profits and businesses. Sandra graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1990, with a BBA and a Master in Professional Accounting. She is member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a Chartered Global Management Accountant, and serves as a member of the Advisory Council for the School of Accountancy of the University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley.
Sandra devotes her time to small business and individual income taxation, partnership and corporate taxation, fixed asset depreciation and IRS resolutions. She assists small businesses with Quickbooks consulting and tax planning.
Sandra serves as a School Board Trustee for the Los Fresnos Consolidated Independent School District. She has served as Secretary, Vice-president and President of the Board, and is currently the Vice-President and Chair of the Finance Committee. She was honored to be on the Board when it was voted the 2010 Outstanding School Board of Texas.
Sandra has been married for 33 years. She and her husband have 2 daughters – one in Austin, TX and one in Miami, FL. They enjoy visiting their daughters as often as they can, and volunteering in their Rotary clubs. Sandra also enjoys baking, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
