Hal Rosen, CPA, graduated from Brigham Young University in Accounting. During his 40+ year career, he spent time with a Big Eight international accounting firm, was a shareholder in local CPA firms and held various financial and executive positions. Hal has taught accounting software classes and is a firm believer in properly accounting for the activities of businesses. In 2022, 2020, 2019, 2016 and 2015, Hal was one of Insightful Accountant’s Top 100 ProAdvisors.
He also spent part of his career as an entrepreneur. Hal has been involved in the operations of small companies and has co-founded more than twelve companies in various industries. Hal has experience in many industries. These industries include scientific equipment manufacturing, coal mining, tool and mine supply distribution, real estate development and financing, employee benefits and a travel agency.
Hal is an Advanced QuickBooks Certified Pro Advisor, a member of the Intuit Trainer/Writer Network, member of the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants (UACPA), and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He has a thorough knowledge of QuickBooks. Hal has been using the program since the release as a DOS based program in the early 1990’s.
Hal and his wife, Diane, enjoy spending time with the beautiful family they have created. Hal and Diane are parents to 4 children and grandparents of 15. When Hal is not busy with family, he enjoys traveling, reading and road cycling.
