26 Jul 2022 Haynie Gives: YMCA of Greater Houston
Haynie & Company was a major sponsor at The YMCA of Greater Houston Kids Splash & Dash and 19th Annual YMCA Kids Triathlon, presented by Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands. The events on June 11, 2022 and July, 16, 2022 benefited the YMCA Annual Campaign. The Kids Splash & Dash was a swim/run race, while the YMCA Kids Triathlon was a swim/bike/run, both, for youth ages 7–15.
Haynie Connections
Terri Arora, Senior Tax Manager, in The Woodlands office has been a Board Member for The Woodlands Family YMCA Kids Triathlon since 2018. Terri feels a personal connection to the cause because “The YMCA is so much more than simply a gym or summer camp, it has so many programs that benefit the local community. This non-profit raises funds to help everyone in the community.”
Haynie & Company Marketing Manager Veronica Harman was at the event cheering on her son. “This was his 2nd year to participate and he improved both physically and mentally. It was encouraging to see him train, put in the hard work and finish. Seeing your kids feeling accomplished is such a wonderful feeling.” Veronica’s son (age 11) recalls, “I’m glad I was able to participate. It was hard, but I kept telling myself to not give up.”
