Founder of the firm that became Haynie & Company, Richard A. (Dick) Haynie provides management consulting and tax planning for a wide range of clients. He is especially skilled at identifying solutions through analysis and strategic utilization of the resulting facts. As Chairman of the Board, Dick is extensively involved with the operation and direction of the company.
A Brigham Young University graduate, Dick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with a minor in mathematics. In his other professional experiences, Dick served as a disbursing officer with the U.S. Navy, and was a member of the audit and tax staff at Wood, Child, Mann & Smith.
In addition to his duties at Haynie & Company, Dick served as president and member of the board of directors, and chaired the Management of Accounting Practices committee of the International Group of Accounting Firms (IGAF). He is affiliated with both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants (UACPA), and has taught numerous continuing education courses. He has been both a chair and member of the Management of an Accounting Practice Committee, and is past president of the Downtown Chapter of the UACPA.
Dick is married and has five daughters, with three granddaughters and three grandsons. He is an active Cougar Club member, loves all sports, and is an avid golf and squash player.
