Ray Russell Jr., is an audit partner with a background in industry, governmental, not-for-profit and SEC accounting, auditing and financial reporting. He has been serving clients from the Colorado office of Haynie & Company and its predecessor for the past 36 years. He is the quality control director of the firm and serves as a peer reviewer for numerous other CPA firms.
An honors graduate in accounting from Angelo State University, Ray has worked with large local CPA firms for the past 36 years. He has extensive experience assisting clients with their accounting, auditing, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow projections and tax consulting.
Ray has provided accounting, auditing and financial reporting services for governmental entities, not-for-profits, manufacturing, broker-dealers and various other industries. A brief listing of the governmental client types assisted is as follows:
Ray's professional affiliations include the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and IGAF Worldwide. He is also a member of the Colorado Special District Association and the Municipal Finance Officer's Association. He is currently the Treasurer of the Jackson 105 Fire Protection District. He is the chairman of IGAF Worldwide's peer review committee and is a member of the CSCPA peer review board and chairman of its Report Acceptance Body. He is a past member of the CSCPA governmental accounting committee.
Ray has achieved the Certificate of Educational Achievement for the Governmental Accounting Principles and Financial Reporting program.
Ray has been married to Jodie for 44 years and they enjoy dancing, camping, fishing and traveling. Ray and Jodie have two children and one grandchild. Ray also enjoys photography and golf. He has served in various community and service organizations.
