Dick Mason is a partner of Haynie & Company in the Littleton, Colorado office. He contributes a broad range of accounting, audit and tax services to individual clients, privately held and publicly held business clients and not-for-profit organizations. He has served clients in manufacturing, construction, technology, real estate, ranching, warehousing, distribution, governmental and not-for-profit organizations.
Dick is an accomplished instructor of continuing professional education for technical and staff training seminars. He received a BSBA degree from the University of Denver and passed the CPA exam in 1972. Except for five years as a founder, shareholder and CFO of a small publicly held corporation, he practiced in public accounting since 1970.
He is past-president and board member of the International Group of Accounting Firms (IGAF Worldwide), the International Softball Congress, the Normandy Estates Homeowners Association, Arapahoe Sertoma Club and other civic and community organizations. Dick has served on the Municipal Bond Supervision Advisory Board for the State of Colorado Securities Commissioner since 1993. He is a member of the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Dick and his wife JoAnn have three children and one grandson. Dick has been a player, coach, manager and administrator of men’s and boy’s fast-pitch softball since 1971. He also enjoys golf, fishing and community service.
